Spray Formulas for Combating Leaf Eating Insects

Arsenate of lead paste, 1 tablespoonful to 1 gallon of water; paris green, 1 heaping teaspoonful; lump lime, 3 ounces; water, 3 gallons. Hellebore may be used in the dry form or as a spray. As a spray mix 1 ounce in 1 gallon of water. When used dry, mix 1 part hellebore with 4 parts flour. Sprinkle on the foliage preferably while it is still wet with dew. Hellebore should be purchased as required as it loses its strength with age.
