Stone Walks
Stepping stones make attractive garden paths and are of the simplest construction. No subdrainage is required, in most cases, and the slabs of stone are set into the sod level with the surrounding ground, at a distance of 20 inches from center to center. If large slabs of stone are not procurable 2 or 3 smaller ones may be placed abreast thus offering an admirable opportunity for the use of low-growing rock plants which will thrive in the rocky joints and crevices adding much artistic beauty to the walk.
