Sea Plantain

Description. This is but a small plant of about four or five inches high. It has numerous long and narrow leaves, of a greyish green, a little notched, but that very irregularly. The stalks are very naked and hairy, and the flowers grow in the same manner with the rest: they are small and white. Place. It is common in our salt marshes and elsewhere, about the sea-coast. Time. It flowers in June.
