Among the most desirable climbers belonging to this group might be mentioned the Cardinal Climber, the Japanese Morning Glories, the Balloon Vine, also called Love-in-a-Puff owing to its curious inflated seed pods which follow the white flowers. The Moon Vine the seeds of which should be soaked overnight before sowing, nasturtiums, Gourd Vine, and Cobea Scandens. This latter is best started under glass in March and planted outdoors in May; in mid-summer its vines are covered with purplish blue flowers. [215]
