Aceratium
(from a, not, and keras, a horn; the stamens being destitute of the terminal bristles so conspicuous in its near ally, Elaeocarpus). ORD. Tiliaceae. An interesting stove evergreen tree, very closely allied to Tilia. It thrives well in a mixture of loam and peat, and is increased by ripe cuttings, which root readily if placed in sand, under a hand glass, in heat.
