The species of this genus are distributed over the whole globe. To those described on p. 110, Vol. I., the following should now be added:

A. norvegica (Norwegian). fl. white, terminal, somewhat globose; sepals ovate, obtuse, equalling the corolla. June and July. l. spathulate, glabrous. Stems terete, procumbent, one or two-flowered. Norway, Lapland, &c. (Shetland). (F. D.) 1259; Sy. En. B. 237.)
