This cosmopolitan genus embraces about sixty species. To the information given on pp. 125-7, Vol. I., the following should now be added:

A. cristatum (crested). A synonym of Nephrodium cristatum.

A. polyblepharum (many-fringed). A synonym of A. angulare.

A. triangulare laxum (loose). fronds long and very narrow, somewhat drooping. SYN. Polystichum xiphioides.
