Beurre Bosc

Fruit medium, long-pyriform; eye open, in a shallow basin; skin yellow, covered all over with orange-russet; flesh white, melting, buttery, very rich. October and November. A handsome and excellent dessert Pear. The tree requires a wall in cold soils and situations. See Fig. 50.
