Brunsvigia (This genus embraces seven)
This genus embraces seven or eight species. To those described on p. 216, Vol. I., the following should now be added:
B. magnifica (magnificent). fl. twenty to thirty; perianth tube short, the segments white, with a broad, reddish-purple, central stripe, lanceolate-oblong, reflexed, 3 1/2in. long; peduncle brown, 4in. long. l. oblong, deeply channelled, acuminate, serrated, 1 1/2ft. to 1 3/4ft. long, 3 1/2in. broad, recumbent. Bulb large, globose. 1885. (I. H. 1885, 552.) This "is a Crinum, either identical with Forbesianum or near it" (J. G. Baker).
