L. bracteata (bracteate). fl. dull red, subtended by violaceous bracts, disposed in sub-globose heads. l. large, opposite, ovate, acuminate, scabrous above, tomentose beneath. 1883. An ornamental, free-flowering, greenhouse shrub.
