Nenga
(said to be the Malay name of the plant). ORD. Palmae. A monotypic genus, the species being an elegant, unarmed, stove Palm. It thrives best in a fibrous peat, to which a little leaf mould and sharp sand may be added with advantage. If well-drained, and not over-potted, it can scarcely be supplied with too much water. Propagated by imported seeds.

Stem slender, tall, annulate; branches slender, pendulous. Malay.
