P. montana (mountain). fl. pure white, Ixora-like, in terminal corymbs. l. long-petioled, oblong-lanceolate, acute. Java. A dense, free-growing plant, well adapted for pot culture.

P. natalensis (Natal). fl. snow-white, salver-shaped, with very long-exserted styles, disposed in handsome, densely cymose heads. l. lanceolate, dark, shining green. Natal, 1888. Stove shrub.
