H. grandiflorum (large-flowered). fl. larger, deeper in colour, and possessed of a blacker disk than those of H. pumilum, which the whole plant resembles. H. pumilum (dwarf). fl.-heads yellow; involucral scales spreading, lanceolate. August. l. oblong, nearly entire. h. 1ft. North America.
