Hippobromus
(from hippos, a horse, and bromos, a bad smell; reason for name not given by its author). It is the Paardepis of the Dutch colonists. ORD. Sapindaceae. A monotypic genus, the species being a greenhouse resin-bearing tree of considerable size. It thrives in sandy loam. Propagated by cuttings, inserted in sand, under a hand glass.
