Stipels
Small bodies, like diminutive stipules, situated at the base of each leaflet in certain compound-leaved plants (e.g., Phaseolus), but solitary, except that there are two at the base of the terminal leaflet. Leaflets in such leaves are said to be "stipellate." In some plants, e.g., Erythrina, Stipels are replaced by small, glandular bodies.
