To the species and varieties described on pp. 42-6, the following should now be added:
T. foliosa (leafy). fl. violet, produced in an ample panicle; bracts reddish. Mexico. A fine plant.
T. Furstenbergii (Furstenberg's). fl., spikes erect, furnished with lanceolate, rosy bracts, dusted over with whitish meal. l. tufted, glaucous, linear-lanceolate, finely toothed, dilated at base. 1882. Acaulescent. The correct name of this plant is Streptocalyx Furstenbergi. T. Pastuchoffiana (Pastuchoff's) l. broad, recurved, acuminate, clear, shining green, irregularly marked with a mosaic pattern of dark green lines. Brazil, 1885. Allied to T. fenestralis.
T. retroflexa (bent-back). fl. yellow, with green tips, spreading, distichous; bracts scarlet; scape scarlet, pendulous, bearing ten to fifteen flowers. 1885. This garden hybrid resembles T. scalaris in habit, but is stouter.
