Tridax (To the species described on p)

To the species described on p. 87, the following variety should now be added. It "has been treated as a half-hardy plant, but will probably succeed with the treatment afforded hardy annuals, if not sown too early" (W. Thompson).

T. bicolor rosea (two-coloured, pink). fl. heads 1 1/2in. to nearly 2in. across; ray florets rose-coloured, fifteen to eighteen, rather broad, three-toothed; disk yellow. Summer. l., basal ones somewhat triangular, 2in. long, 1in. broad, strongly nerved, the margins widely toothed; upper ones becoming gradually narrower and smaller, most of them quite entire. h. 1ft. to 1 1/4ft. North Mexico, 1887. (G. C. ser. iii., vol. ii., p. 553.)
