Wood Sorrel
(Oxalis Acetosella). A hardy, native perennial, occasionally cultivated for the use of its young leaves in salads. It should be cut over frequently, and not allowed to produce seed in gardens, or else the seedlings may become troublesome weeds. A cool, shady place is best suited, but the plant is seldom cultivated. If a few specimens are desired, they are best procured in spring and transplanted from places where they grow naturally.
