Chamaelaucium
(from chamaileuke, a dwarf white Poplar, because its healthy stems are miniatures of that tree; this meaning is not very clear). ORD. Myrtaceae. A very oruamental little reenhouse evergreen shrub. Flowers, white, axillary, subtended by two concave bracteoles, which fall off in a calyptra from the young bud. Leaves opposite, crowded, linear, triquetrous.
